Beezlebufo and Cementing Paste

on the dossier it states that these guys can be used for making cementing paste, how does one get them to make it??

I have tried hunting insects and leaving the the chitin in the inventory of the Beezlebufo with food and even a bit of ston (just in case) and left it sit at my base for over an hour and nothing. Is there some trick to it that im not getting or does the dossier mean that its just good at getting chitin for us to make the cement paste ourselves?

If anyone knows please let me know.

I've tried killing the insects with right-click and with Left-Click with chitin in its inventory and i even threw some stone in there for good measure and i have not gotten any cementing paste at all.

i've been doing some testing and for some reason when i spawn dragonflies in and kill them i get cement paste but the wild ones i find around i dont get cement paste from them.

I don't know, i think if you put chitin in its inv it will make it

Use right click near the insect body and you will get your cementic paste ;)

My understanding is that when they kill and harvest insects with right click (ninja edit) there's a chance they'll harvest paste rather than chitin. So if you're personally harvesting and then stuffing chitin in their magic carry pouch then you won't get any.

I just finished taming one and killing meganeuras got me quite a bit. As soon as I killed a small sward it showed 160 cementing paste in the notification at the top. Ants didnt get me much, about 5 paste per ant. But it all happened as soon as my frog ate their corpse. At the end of an in game day the frog got me 680 cementing paste

thats just it though, i was using the Beezlebufo second attack to harvest insects by the dozen and i didnt get any cementing paste so i left the chitin that it collected in the inventory incase it made it over time but still nothing

its the only button i was spamming was the the right-click to kill and harvest so i gues they are just not working for some reason?

left-click does a long range tounge attack and right-click makes it sorta wag it side to side close

It works like this. Put chittin inside the inventory of the frog then when you kill insects it gets converted into cementing paste just think of the frog as a mobile motor pestle. It's just a method of getting cementing paste without grabbing a load of rocks but i would say grabbing rocks is a lot quicker.

i had chitin in its inventory from previous bugs i killed while killing the bugs trying left and right click killin/harvesting. im starting to think it might be a bug or conflict maybe with a mod?

I kill them with right-click and i get the cementing paste ;)
