I never leave home without at least 1 following, and always a passive bird / ptera on my roof with atleast 4 dimos on follow set to aggressive. Dimo's are always the 1st thing I tame so useful for keeping you alive especially when you are starting out.
There's already an option to scale these down (which I have to about 1/4), they need one for temperature too. Some people are into the pointless grind aspects of this game. Others just want to build cool stuff and tame dinos. The real world is hard enough, I play video games to have fun.
And if not, thanks for offering yourself up!
No I have 190 in weight because I had to add more to weight cause the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear weighs 48lbs. 360 oxygen 125% melee and the rest is in hp. Just wear fur gear and don't run around on foot. Eat cooked meat to get extra hp.
The biome can be nasty at times, but it's not going to kill you with full fur. Like I said my tribe had a lot of trouble at first, but after 2 hours we all had fur (8 of us) and we have not had trouble with temperature since. The temp can be bad, but the fur has crazy insulation, almost 300 with the full set on.
There is nothing forcing us to be in the snow biome so it's ok if its a bit unforgiving if you're not prepared.
Air conditioner works great for both cold and heat. Under extreme temparatures, use 2 or 3 per room and never again have to worry about clothing or fire inside your house.
Full fur and 28 Fortitude keeps you at just cold in -13C.
Not sure how cold a blizzard gets :D
I've got something like 20 fortitude and even before the snow biome, I can barely survive with chitin armor, just south of the volcano. I need hide armor and a torch at night (and even for some of the day), just to bring it to the "snowflake" level. Or I need to stand right next to an air conditioner (and sometimes I need the torch, even then).
That's why I built two new bases in warmer beach areas, but they got pulled into the snow biome when they expanded beyond the areas they said they were going.
Well, if it is -13°C and the wind is 40 MPH it would be like -39°C. Pretty cold.
-13°C = 8.6°F
-39°C = -38.2°F
