dedicated server - backup restoring?

something has gone a tad pear-shaped. and wondering about restoring a saved backup from as close to a few hours ago as possible.

i downloaded the "savedarks" but that is from a while ago.

before i go messing about with files, what files are the current saves and which ones are previous saves which i can rename? or do i just delete the newer ones?

does the naming convention mean anything?

the larger files i am guessing are the saves? and the smaller files are player stats and backups?

just want to check before i go deleting files to force the server to load an older version.

sorted. except for the 2 hour time descrepancies. still do not understand them.

to backup a server simply :
1 . rename TheIsland.ark into Theislandfail.ark ( in case someting goes wrong )
2. choose TheIsland_XX.XX.XX_YY .ark in the nearest Date / time before you screwed up .
3 . copy and paste it ( in case something goes wrong again )
4. change the copie name to TheIsland.ark
VOILA . backup done

thank you. got it sorted. that is how i thought it worked, but wondered about all the other files and things.

not everything with ark is that simple.

the arktribe and tribeark files are saves of your tribes and theirs settings.
the backup and corrupt files are backup used by the game if it somehow the loading file is corrupt but you cant use them for your own backup.
