Connecting Multiple Rafts
First off no I'm not talking about making bridges here.

My question is has anyone tried connecting more then 1 or 2 rafts together and move them all together using one raft ?

Yes I tried briefly. Didnt work at all. But I could be wrong since I abandoned the idea really quick.
Perhaps someone who has tried multple "Trial and Error" might have an answer to this.
Anyone has an answer to my question ?

Tried? Yes.

Successful? No.

I even tried using different materials and structure types.

Why don't you try it? I assumed it wouldn't work however I have not yet tried, I'd rather try to connect bronto platforms.

I don't think it's possible right now with the way boats and saddle platforms work. I'd be happy with a follow command for boats though. Or ropes to attach them.

I was hoping for something like that as well.

You currently cannot... as the basic principle would be to place two 'bases' like a foundation on each or a pillar-ceiling on each and then try to place something between those two. The game mechanics will "almost certainly" not permit this, it will either snap to one or the other. That being said, I have a single idea that miiight work that I am going to try when I get home that uses a clever trick in re pillar mechanics.

*Khay's necromancy skill has increased by 5. You have leveled up. Choose a stat to put a point in.*

Is there perhaps a way to interlock them as opposed to connecting them directly? Kinda like Tetris I suppose. Two long structures on one and a single one built on the other. The only reason wouldn't work is something to do with the fact that you'd be "dragging" around one with the other your steering.

You can't connect them, but on youtube, Zeuljin made his base out of multiple adjacent rafts during Season 2 on the Pooping Evolved server. He made it work, but it was a royal pain to keep it all together without a physical link between them.

Plus, Quetzes can't land on a raft, so that was a pain for him.

Two faults in this theory I know of:
1) The moment your raft is moving, structures on it have little to no collision left to them. (because good luck telling the game to handle the wildly dynamic potential shapes of the structures, while they're all constantly on the move)
2) The small patch around the rudder that does have full collision simply stops any other raft in its tracks, it's not possible to push it.
