How to pick up dinos with flying mounts

I know the ptero and argent can both pick up dinos. for example both can pick up a dilo. I was wondering how? I know you need to press the right-mouse button. But do I click it or hold it?

On my ptero I can see the leg animation, but my argent just stays still. Can it still pick up dinos or is it a glitch?

But otherwise I know I need some luck and practice, but I just want to know what exactly do I have to press. I usually hover above my dilos and try to pick one up, but no luck

Right-click once to pick up, again to drop. The creature you are picking up (be it dino or person) has to be positioned under the flier and back a little. There is enough give to it that it is not too difficult, but it can be tough stopping just right over a dilo.

Also, I think it can only be done on certain things with PvE servers. Can't pick up just anything. I've only ever gotten a bird to pick up a tribe mate. Never seems to work on Dino for me.

Well I'm on singleplayer, so picking up dinos is the only thing I've got xD

Thanks! I'll try with a pack of raptors maybe, they're bigger so maye my argent will be able to pick them up :)

When you ride an Argent, your view is zoomed in so much on them you might not notice the animation. But you just click it once and then once more to drop them, they'll hover a few feet beyond the talons (or in front of yoru bird's face =.= )

Yep. Argents can pick up raptors (Though not Alpha's).

I've only tried to pick up Dodos with a Pteranodon without much success. I have no troubles with an Argentavis though. I find you have to fly straight at whatever you're trying to pick up (maybe slightly above) and hit right mouse when the bird's beak is level with whatever you are trying to pick up when moving full speed. It's timing mainly.

Also where are you trying to pick Dilos up from? If the dino you are carrying touches a wall etc. while you are carrying it then it gets dropped making it hard to pick stuff up in a confined space.

That's why I moved my camera around to view it's tail and saw no animation whatsoever.

I tried hovering over my dilos (on the beach, no walls there) with my ptero so whenever it swung it's legs it would go towards they dilo's body, but still no luck. My argent doesn't even have animation apparently, but I'll keep trying.

Did you enable "PVE Flyer Carrier" or something like that? that needs to be enabled.
