No need to do this. There are a lot of backup saves available for screwups like this.
Go into the folder Steam/SteamApps/Common/ARK/ShooterGame/Saved/SavedArksLocal
Delete TheIsland.ark or if you are cautious rename it TheIsland.old
Then look at all of the files with names like TheIsland_19.07.2016_05.08.08.ark
Those are the backup saves, look at the numbers. That is the 19th of July (07), 2016 and it was at 5h 8m 8seconds gmt.
Just rename the one you want to use to "TheIsland.ark" and profit.

Item and dinocodes.
I lost my save due to trying to copy my save over from the laptop to desktop, so I went into creative mode to try rebuild the base I made, but because I had gained so many levels doing it I deleted that player and started a new character to work back up towards getting it back, completely forgetting that I didn't own the base any more.
If the cheat giveallsteuctres works then that's a nightmare I don't have to deal with <3
You could have simply forced your new character back into the tribe... and made owner.
"Tribe of umm36" or something?
Those people are silly ^.^
Thankfully GiveallStructures worked and I have my base back :D
Unfortunately since my desktop can't handle ark I can only play on my partner's laptop and they took it with them today :(
On that note, I got a new PC after that incident :)
