It should work, but keep in mind many dell boxes have very limited upgrade options. Like many only have two slots for ram, so what you upgrade your ram to, may be the max the box can take. but as long as you get a better video card, you should be good. Make sure you get at least a i5 cpu, though an i7 is preferable. And at least 8 Gigs ram, 16 is preferable.

It would really depend on the specs of the system in the end. The Dell XPSs are pretty good in general. I had the original one they made back when they started the XPS line.

Looking at what they offer now any of them should work for this game. It looks like the low end XPS systems are 3.4Ghz i5s with 8GB RAM. The minimum recommeded for the game is only 2GHz Dual-Core 64-bit & 4GB RAM.

And I agree with crimsondrac, if you can bump that to an i7 and 16GB RAM that will do you good for a good while down the road.

go for i5, the only diffrence between i5 and 7 is hyperthreading, most games dont take advantage of hyperthreading, its usually meant for video editing

I bought an xps, um in 2008 I think, maybe 2009. It is a very limited design, and 2 years later I was having problems with running newer games. I did a lot of research and built my own through new egg, in 2011, still plays games with a high and mix of ultra, and it upgrades so much better than the dell. Dell also comes with a whole bunch of bloatware, and little idiosyncrasies that make upgrading harder.

By all means go with what your comfortable with, but do some research and make an informed decision. New egg also sells pre made computers.

Good luck, and enjoy.

Edit: spelling derp, I should learn to proof read, a screw it my grammer is probably off, lol.

I have a dell XPS 8300 with everything default and the performance isn't impressive, but it isn't disappointing...
