Does Crafting speed work?

I know crafting speed is a underwhelming, largely unused stat, but does it acually function? If i bump my skill up to 200% will i be making things twice as fast? I have no real idea why i would want to do this but i am curious.

do it to craft faster at lower levels to gain levels faster, once you are higher level you can use the amnesia soup to reset your stats an put the points elsewhere.

Stuf you craft on yourself will craft faster (ie - arrows). However things in mortar and pestal or smithy or fabrictor will still craft at their normal rate unfotunately. I've expirimented with this heavily in my singleplayer with the server ini settings (essentially turned my singleplayer into creative mode).

This skill is so useless that the could remove it over night and i wouldn't notice...ever.

Hope they will revamp it at some point.

they should change it so it takes less resources to craft things - or the things you craft are stronger/better. as it stands it useless.

i dl-ed a research mod, it allows you to craft blueprints for some items, the cost and time of reaseach seems decent enough, but the time it takes to make the items from the blueprints is crazy long, i think a full day for a ramshakle stone axe, longer with each level above that. I am guessing it would speed that up. I seem to have no blueprint luck in the supply drops so this seemed like a good mod for me, but not being able to do anything for a full day is a bit of a pain.

What level is the amnesia soup crafted at?

I'm on a private server with custom stats (6 torpor per level / 40 weight capacity per level / 40 crafting speed per level).

I got my crafting speed up to nearly 500% just to find out IT ONLY AFFECTS THE THINGS THAT YOUR CHARACTER CRAFTS IN HIS OWN INVENTORY. It doesn't affects the speed of narcotics, cementing paste, smithy, fabricator stuff etc.

So yeah on official server it's useless, although in this private server 200-300% is fine, makes stone tier crafting and arrow crafting enjoyably fast.

I found a recipe named mind wipe, which resets your engrams.

It's a mod. I think it's called "custom stats" so you can just download it and add to your modlist in singleplayer.
