Connecting rafts
I was thinking if you can connect rafts by using pillers and some roofs and building a bridge from on raft to another.

Go into single player and command what you need to test this.

ive read a handful of thread; that they cant be connected in any way. You cant snap them together; nor can you use a pillar/hatch to try and 'hitch' them together; doesn't work.

If you mean build a stationary immobile base; that compartmentally is standing on a handful of rafts; now that's possible; but would be kinda hard to fit just right... as they would never snap together.
