Vault size question

Before I craft one I wanted to be sure of the size. Ive searched and found that you need 4 walls high and 1.5 wide (so basically 2) but is that square? So it will take up 4 foundations or is it shaped like the other storage where its thinner from the side?

yes its 4 foundations that it sits on.

2x2 base (total of 4 foundations) and yes, its four (4) walls high before you can put a ceiling on it.

square= = sides ;) So its a rectangle. Build one and you can see how it will place without placing. Long run you will want at least one no mater how they fit or look. and yes roughly 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 3 1/2

Is that how you first tasted paint chips?

I'd rather situate my base to place it before having an expensive vault sitting around.

ya it does it is 3.5 high, -_- when i tried that it would not let me place the ceiling.
