it is a bit of a pain in the arse but eh ARK.
Here is a trick but it's dumb that I would have to use this trick. Fence foundation can be layed along a walls side parallel to it and then you can snap the gate to that.
It's the best I can do in the weird snapping rules.
Hey if it works it works, nothing stupid about it.
Because since we know foundation has snapping points and we know the big gates do why don't they snap together?
If I had a good reason for this I'd like my workaround.
that being said you can snap fence foundations to foundations. so yeah you can build gates into larger structures.
