THE HEAT!! ......
Anyway natural way to bring the heat down without fully removing my gear? Any berries, or certain food that can take that away?

The Shadow Steak Saute and the Calien Soup are good for hyperthermic insulation c: Both increase it by 50. Find the recipes in game or here http://ark.gamepedia.com/Recipes

Fortitude attribute. Obviously.

THE COLD!!.....

They've defo increased the heat and cold effects by far too much a margin in the last patch! I litterally had to cook myself on my cooking pot to get warm in base yesterday. After it settled I took a flight to the next biome and I went from the Iceman to human spontanious combustion in a flash!... too intense.

Fortitude does nothing. Im on 20.

If the game is going to carry on with intense heat and cold waves I think they need to look at tweaking armour so that for example cloth or leather give much better hypothermic protection and chitin is much cooler to wear than say metal in heatwaves.

Stewes dont really cut it for me even with fortitude 20.

its better to wear cloth armor than to wear nothing at all when in the heat. dont remove all your gear it makes the heat worse when compared to wearing cloth armor.

Fortitude 20 gives you 41 insulation. You need it much higher.

Dead Pixels was probably wearing Flak Armor. It warns you quite clearly that Flak wrecks your survival chances in bad weather. Also, could be your server/offline settings: a lot of private server admin run ridiculous settings(like +9001% dino damage) and they always cause balance issues.

Try wearing Hide or Cloth, both will make bad weather a lot more survivable. If you're really freezing then put on Scuba gear and dive in the ocean-water temps will always be higher than air temps and Scuba set items have massive cold resist when underwater.

Cloth. Location. Recipes. Fortitude.

Combination thereof. :)

I normally go with 40-60 fortitude .. makes the cold and heat a lot easier to handle, also reduces the damage u get from extreme weather a lot, if it gets below -10°C i even think of pulling out my torch!

I agree that the heat and cold is too intense. If you go in the water you are freezing BUT as soon as you step out of it you are overheating ... The dev's need to tweak that and tone it down a little

I did something else... just made a ton of medical potions. The reason I asked this was because I was in a not so safe zone in the middle of the map and my health was draining fast from heat, but I had alot of T-Rex's, and alpha/normal raptors around me.
Comander-07 Sep 20, 2015 @ 2:16am
more fortitude, go into water and wear normal cloth.

Mine is at 40 and I still get it.

Always carry cloth armor (2,5 weight only) in inventory - and for cold hide armor (2,5 weight only)
An emergency recipe/food is appreciated, too. - fortitude helps but isn't a lifesaver

Carnivores (Argentavis, Carnosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Sabretooth, Raptor) do drop better cloth armor - with that you are able to increase easily your Insulation by 10-20

If you're rolling around in flak just have cloth and hide in your inventory to wear. They weigh practically nothing and if you get into a fight just try to run find a safe spot to switch armor if you need to.

You can also make particular cooking recipes which protect you from the elements
