Do the Rexes have a roar then? I have had one Carno charge out of the shadows and scare the hell out of me but I didn't hear anything from him. Just like when I've scouted and seen a Rex I haven't really heard him.
"Survivor, JustApollo asks “Might we see a bit more added to the island’s ambient sound?
Answer:
Yup! We’ll be doing a lot of work on ambiance in the game. First of all, we’ll be introducing loads of new fauna and smaller creatures into the game, to co-exist with already existing ones to add that extra touch. You’ll start to see more birds, insects and other critters. We’ll also be making changes that include hearing the noises these creatures make in the wild as well as our already existing bunch, and some extra sound effects to go on top."
Awesome! :) I'd just love to hear a Rexes roar echo down a valley.
You can make a tamed Rex roar when riding on it and pressing your regular aim button. It's nice and loud when you're sitting on it but the sound fades off in a very short distance. Personally I think you should be able to hear the roar at least 1k away. I'm sure this will all change in the future but you're right there is a lack of ambiance right now.
