I get attacked by any of the insects numerous times and my dinos kill them instantly. Of course i also just jump off my dino and let the dino do the killing since i suck at aiming with the dino... but hey they die and i dont lose any sleep over it.
The only time the bugs are particularly annoying is when im taming something and they eat it without me noticing, or when they attack me on my pteranodon and it just flies away like a chicken.
I srs am under the belief people get drunk playing this game and pass out while a bug attacks them
My dinos hit them just fine.
Say if you're on a flyer, you need to speed up ahead of them, whip around, spam attack as they fly at you.

and just keep repeating until they are all dead
dinos with a wide AOE like stego and bronto, even trike, are good too because unlike a Pike they wont' damage the dino you're trying to protect (won't help with tames though, sorry)
I lost a Para I just tamed after a group of 5 of them attacked my Para. I couldn't defend it without hitting it with my spear. So I ended up killing it by accident.
I like the meganseurs, and hope they add animations where they rest on trees. At this time though in dev, the hitboxes and aoe for dino attacks allow the megs to come off scott free.
The small bugs are a legitimate problem =) you must not have enough experience to know this
wild dinos, such as oXYnary pointed out, have issues hitting the bugs and will circle eternally until they die to them.
Tamed dinos are just as stupid, unless being ridden by a rider.
Insects and their small, wonky hitboxes are indeed an issue, and that is why i made a suggestion to help, and not just make a rude comment.
Might try taming a dinosaur or two and see how it goes with the bugs ^^
Good luck doing that with slow creatures like Mammoth or Trike, especially if you have lots of weight in them that you don't want to throw out. They move backwards ten times slower than bugs move and just sit inside your dino.
I find them the easiest thing to kill in the game (next to dodos & dilos)
They are a 1-hit with any dino. And I have never had problems with them "going into my body"
It doesn't need to be "fixed", you just don't know how to kill them properly. And to remove a creature from the game because you aren't able to kill it? That's greed right there...
LMAO this has got to be a troll post....
A Mammoth is one of the easiest beasts to use to kill the bugs.... just hop off of the mammoth and let the mammoth kill it.... It is not hard at all.
