"too many creatures with platform structures"

It doesn't let me place a new structure on my bronto even though I already placed the platform saddle and I'm nowhere close to the 50 limit.

really? It's been only a few weeks and we already hit another limit. The 50 structure limit is bad enough.

Most players/tribes on this server don't even have a bronto platform yet. Most of those who do have nothing built on them. The plesi platform isn't out yet. And we already hit some server limit. If rafts count, most rafts have nothing on them either.

Looks like most people won't even get to try them out?

I havn't noticed any performance decrease since platforms were released, so it should be ok to increase the limit right?

The multiplier affects how many items on the platform not the how many platforms themselves. Hope they do add an INI for this as well.

if there has to be a limit it should at least let everyone who already has a platform to build on it. I wasn't even actually trying to add more, I just wanted to replace thatch for stone. I don't see how it's possible to go over a limit without increasing the number lol.

nop, I've only seen one that has more/better stuff than mine. There are maybe only 10 brontos with a full built platform. I'm in PVE so I can fly anywhere to see what people have.

But in PVP even if a tribe has it before the limit, as soon as they lose something on the platform they won't be able to replace it. I completely demolished the platform on my other bronto and still wasn't able to add/replace on my big one.

You also must consider the positive aspects :

You save the time building up a war raft or sattle bronto. You can use the saved hours together with your family. Be happy that you have one, other than the no-life alpha tribes who block the platform slots on your server.

Note: Server Admins can change the maximum number of platformed-creatures/rafts allowed on the ARK (a potential performance cost) via this commandline option: "MaxPlatformSaddleStructureLimit=Number" (or in [ServerSettings] of their GameUserSettings.ini)

Is there a resolution for this? My server hit the hardcoded cap for this a day after it was released, we've had people kill off some of the existing platform brontos and they still can't create a new one.

I've tried the following settings:


MaxPlatformSaddleStructureLimit=5000
and I've tried:
MaxPlatformSaddleStructureLimit=10.0

Nothing works.

There needs to be some kind of restriction for how much each tribe can have on platforms. If there are on average 500 unique players/tribes per server and a 5000 item limit then 100 items per tribe.

I do not know how the math is done now, but the threashold is way low on the Official PVE servers. Maybe break it up by type? Bronto/Paraser/Queztal/Raft each have their own counter?

Dunno, I do know on our server rafts are the main source of the count.

Zero people are able to put stuff on the Queztal because of this.
