I am on a private server and am like level 96 and plan on doing a mindwipe soon. Why because I have points in stats that dont need those points in anymore like I pushed oxygen up cause I built a long bridge across a bay and did lots of under water work. Dont need the oxygen points anymore got scuba gear. Plus lots of engrams I dont need and with the mods we have on the server I WANT TO USE THEM and the only way I can is by doing a mindwipe. MINDWIPE TONIC RULES belly up to the bar and pour me another.
yup took a bronto down and within 15 minutes had 400 flowers. didnt make a tonic yet. Mods restting is the same thing basically as it gives you back your engram points and you generally get to keep most of what you make but sometimes you lose stuff.
It is easier than it used to be but it's still quite difficult.
Getting 20 cooked prime is not as simple as killing an alpha, most of the prime spoils too fast. Also you have competing needs for the prime, you;re basically sacrificing 20 kibble for it. Even with good dinos you'd need to invest some time to be able to make it.
I've been wanting to make some for weeks and havent managed to gather everything for it with other things getting in the way.
Likewise I need to ditch the oxygen points and put them into weight and fortitude.
I think it's balanced right. Even with the new biomes making flowers and mushrooms easier.
What a useless thread....
If we follow youre logic, having a tribemember that learns all engrams that you havent learned is an exploit too?

irrelevant to everyone not on his server.
Maybe look at another way to achieve the balance change you want, instead of complaining about a well balanced game feature you overlooked.
or as has already been determined, disable a part of the game because the server owner doesn't like some of the consequences.
Unfortunately the thread title clouds the main point of the question raised.
Should really be able to do things like prevent cooking of different types of meats as well. So can't cook raw meat, raw prime meat. Reason? Make for more interesting servers, more variety. Events where raw meat is the only thing you can feed yourself? Awesome.
EDIT: Thinking about this in more detail this should be split into multiple setting sections. The consumable specific options should literally be in the suggested (HungerOffset, Consumable, SpoilOffset). There should be an ItemReplacements() section that includes ToClassName, Obtainable, CostOffset, Obtainable etc. Realistically a really fine grain control would be awesome including custom recipes and engrams without the need for mods.
For all consumable items, the following options should exist:
Obtainable=true/false affect both the ability to craft and to harvest the item as well as obtain from crates.
Consumable=true/false affect the ability to consume it.
HungerOffset=1.0 affect how much hunger it replenishes.
EffectOffset=1.0 affect how much health or stat it increases.
SpoilOffset=1.0 affect the spoil timer.
CostOffset=1.0 affect the quantity of items required to craft the item (rounded up).
ToClassName="" replace the item class with the following. Disables all other settings.
Example:
ConsumableReplacements=(ClassName="PrimalItemConsumableRespecSoup",ToClassName="PrimalItemConsumable_RawMeat")
or
ConsumableReplacements=(ClassName="PrimalItemConsumableRespecSoup",Obtainable=false)
or
ConsumableReplacements=(ClassName="PrimalItemConsumableRespecSoup",Consumable=false)
or
ConsumableReplacements=(ClassName="PrimalItemConsumableRespecSoup",CostOffset=20.0)
This guy says, make a little mistake and start over from level 1. LMAO!!!
My question for him is does he have his server set for increased XP, gathering and taming? Isn't that the biggest exploit ever?
1. make full use of and derive benefit from (a resource).
2. make use of (a situation) in a way considered unfair or underhand.
So by OP's wording the mindwipe tonic is meaning 2.
But everyone else its meaning 1.
