Black Paint....

It's not very 'black' is it? I painted up my Ghost Rex, and all it did was to make him look a little grey. I used the wiki for the black paint recipe, and it just isn't, it's light grey at best! Anyone else had this problem, or is there a blacker black paint???

Looks black on my saddles, weapons, armour, etc :)

It is black when you paint other stuff with it. However, on metal for example, it looks black on most things, but hatchframes and windowframes look Gray as well.

Whoosh, it goes over the head.

And yeah, I used black paint without any real effect as well. Colored paint does the warpaint thing, but black just tints the dino a little darker.

yep. black paint is terrible on dinos...fine for armor and tools and saddles but on the dinos themselves it stinks!!

Well, lets be honest, "all-black" is almost always the most popular colorset. If people COULD warpaint dinos black, that's about the first thing that many would do. All black, everywhere.

So this is probably just a case of the devs knowing their audience.

I got an ugly 'faded chestnut baby poo' coloured high level Argentavis, was hoping I could paint him matte black. instead he just went a darker shade of 'faded chestnut baby poo'.

Torn between trying to find another high level Argentavis thats a better colour - which could take ages - or stick it out with my Meg Griffin like Argentavis.

Cheers guys, it's not just me then! Armor looks good black, personally I went for jungle camo, brown, green and forest green. My other Rex is red, he hits like an Alpha so now he looks like one ^^ (17k health, 1.1k dmg). Just wanted a totally black dino, hopefully they will fix it.
