Looking for Facts about spawn suppression
I am looking for the ground truth about impacts of pillars/foundations on resource and wild dino spawns. Is there any dev or person who uses dev toolkit who can provide actual ground truth about how much impact pillars/foundations - of all different materials - have on current spawn system. For example, somebody put up a metal pillar and crop plot near some rocks and now crystals don't spawn anymore. The pillar is pretty far away from the rocks, but the crystals haven't returned since pillar went up. To be blunt, I'm not concerned with speculation - simply want to know if anybody has been able to look under the hood and find the truth.

I'm most interested in this as it relates to official pve servers. Thanks for any help.

If somebody has screenshots that illustrate facts about spawn suppression of different materials, I would certainly appreciate that.

I know for a fact boulders, trees and bushes respawn around wood and stone pillars. I have a few set up to allow materials to regrow.

100 meters around a foundation or pillar, no resources, bushes, trees, rocks, crystals, dino's, etc will spawn.

True of foundations, not pillars.

edit: also GATEs, dino gates. These act like foundations for respawn prevention.

Is that 100M number somewhere in the dev tools or official dev commentary? It sounds like speculation.

I hear different numbers thrown around, with 70m being most common. I have also heard nothing yet about different materials having different radius for spawn suppression.

On the wiki it says that wood foundations prevent respawning in a small area, stone in a moderate area and metal in a large area.

Cannot find anything like that under foundations - can you provide link please?

Strange. Now I can't find it. It wasn't on the foundations pages I saw it, it was elsewhere.

Can anybody provide an official link where foundation spawn radius based on material type is discussed?
