Wild:
The day of an Allodesmus consists of three main activities: lounging on the beach, hunting fish, seabirds and trilobites, and playing in the ocean. They are very much social animals, and not just with each other. Seeing groups of Allodesmus and Ichthyosaurs playing and hunting together is quite common and vastly entertaining.
While they will tolerate most any large (man-sized) creature near them, if one Allodesmus is distressed, it will unleash its characteristic barking bellow. Its bark is worse than its bite, as it calls all nearby Allodesmus to its aid; together they make short work of the threat with their powerful jaws. There are even reports of a large group of Allodesmus protecting their Ichthyosaur friends from a Mosasaur!

Domesticated
A tamed Allodesmus' first loyalty is to its master; it will only help those in its new family. Their jaws are powerful, they can stay underwater for extreme lengths of time, and their speed in the water is rivalled only by the Ichthyosaurs'. Best of all, if it or its rider is in danger, wild Allodesmus will still answer its call for aid. While this can save one's life in emergencies, it is not a good hunting tactic as the wild individuals usually eat everything first.

Author's notes:
For those who are unaware, this is basically a prehistoric sea lion. Aside from the above mentioned stats, it would be about as slow as a Carbonemys on land, with somewhat low carry weight and average health. Its rally cry may sound OP, but its strength depends entirely on the presence of wild individuals.

I found it by searching "pinniped" on Wikipedia and checking for extinct genera
