Add a perch for landing flyers
There seems to be some difficulty with how flyers should act while landing.
Here's an Idea,
Add a craftable perch item http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzY0WDYyOA==/z/WlAAAOSwxCxT18IC/$_32.JPG?set_id=880000500F
(it's just a wooden T sticking out of the ground)
If you dismount a flyer within a certain distance of the perch, it will automatically land there.
Good for cliff side camps with limited landing strips, or just keeping track of your bird.

I admit it would be nice for small flying creatures.

I could go for this. Would make parking easier in a crowded aviary. It's better with forward movement stopped now, but a perch would be even nicer.

Would even be better if you place one and then assign a certain bird to it so that it could go to its perch on commmand; especially if you could do that with dimos.

Wooow wtf no, my backyard would look like a cemetery with my 40 dimos ._.

Only if you take them all with you at the same time. Otherwise it will look like an organized group of flying dino's sitting on sticks.

As for the idea, I like it. Problem is the dismounting if your T stick is higher up in the air. I for instance usually like to build my flyer landing places higher up. When you dismount, you'd drop quite far to the ground with these. Or you could build ceilings under them of course, but that would mostly defeat the purpose of the sticks.

All the yes for perches! +1 For all birds. :P

It doesn't need to be T shaped necessarily, maybe have an engram to craft one that is wall mounted, just a dowel, or even a T dowel sticking out of a wall. Not sure how well that would work if the wall is crowded with perches.

I don't know if they'll be adding huge flyers later, but I imagine a one tile wide perch accomodating 1x Argentavis, 2x Pteradons, 6x Dimorphodons etc...

A fence foundation stacked up to be a railing on it's own looks like alot like a perch, The dev's could easily use the same model and adjust the snap point.

In our aviary we have standing torches in the front corners from before we put lights in and we often have Argent's sitting on top of the torches and it actually looks pretty natural! i'll add a screen of it when i'm home
