Platform saddles: You're doing it wrong!
50 structures is admittedly limiting, but with some creativity, you can have a DIY dino tank. Tested effective vs explosives and the stuff big enough to threaten a bronto, alphas will glitch through the walls (as they are prone to doing) and raptors tend to find holes, but it's surprisingly effective. Variations could include less armor and use window frames with ceilings behind them for snipers if you have a big tribe. Protect yourself AND your bronto!

The original version used more walls on the side for full ground coverage and a dino gate on some ceilings at the front, it offered more protection but the bronto had trouble walking due to the ceilings next to its feet. It's entirely possible to make a few of these line up and have a full circle of badass armored brontos with holes just big enough for raptors and other trash dinos.

could this be done with behemoth gates? just have 2 gates 1 in front opening towards head and one in back also opening towards head, full protection, if the gates can be put partially on the dino.

This is what I was thinking of doing jus havent had the time and resource to try it. Now I know it works!

Slap on another Bronto and clip a Pteranodon on the left and right side of it and you get King Ghidorah.

The game doesn't allow platforms to carry behemoth gates, it was my first thought for a mobile dino tank. You can extend the platform enough to support them but it just says you can't place them on platforms.

Yeah you can place dino gates, they will place directly on the platform or on any foundations or ceilings you have supported by it, and they can be snapped to each other. They have to be supported from beneath though, unlike the walls, but in theory you could save a lot of space on the dino by placing celings to support the gate and face it out from the side of the bronto. I may test this later, but it does seem to open the possibility for holes, plus you will lose a LOT of protection if one of those dino gates goes down vs 1 wall.
