Any use for the bronto platform?
Hi,

i were so excited about that things, but i realized fast, that u can't do much with them.
There is a very low structure limit, that prevent any use of that thing.
You can build maybe a small hut on it, that looks like crap with a bed and some basic stuff, but honestly i don't need that. I'm not lvl 1 anymore...
If i want to build something decent on it its maybe enough for the foundations and some walls...

Anyone have an idea what i can put on them?
Atm for me they are useless mainly because of the low structure cap.

The saddle's platofrm is the equivalent of 3x5 (foundations) the limit is so low that one cannot build said structure two high single story and put a roof on it, let alone anything in it to actually use! I think they should just bump it to say, 125 or 150, so that it can actually be used instead of a platform with tons of wasted space or an incomplete building

I don't think that's why they did it though.
I'm pretty sure the devs used their common sense, the idea behind them is to be able to have a mobile turret unit or a small house you can snipe out of it is not meant to be a silly gimmick building a skyscraper on a bronto.
Thing is it wouldn't generally happen anyways though. I mean sure, some would build a giant tower for the heck of it, but for practical purposes you generally add "stuff" to any room you build, and the inventory of all those containers, smithy's, smelters, fridges, etc. would quickly fill up remaining carry weight.

I'd think most who build a mobile base to fill a role would make it as big as it needed to be, which with 1k carry weight isn't but a couple stories of clutter.

Unfortunately that falls right into the problem the OP describes; a basic hut for low level players but useless for anything complex or high level.

I'll be building a honey harvesting station and mobile ramp on mine, you could also get three brontos with giant walls for mobile taming pen.

I'm a bit surprised, that the common "necroing"-complain isn't here, yet. (I'm not complaining, Since I don't mind necroing, if a topic is still relevant.)

I think Brontos with platforms are mostly used for PvP. And the platform is a nice respawn-point and you can set cannon and manual turrets on it. The Paracer-Platform has more PvE-uses imho. The Paracer is smaller, so you have more combat space. And you don't have the dino in your line-of-sight for firing. I used a paracer with a catapult to tame a Karkinos. And I think it's also usefull to tame a rock-elementtal. Afaik, Brontos aren't on SE. (Titanos are, though.)

Brontos are much easier to tame compared to Quetzals. And the plattform is much earlier available. (although, you might get a BP, of course.) So I think Brontos with turrets are more prefered for PVP-Raids, than Quetzs.

Edit: the Buildings in the screenshots aren't possible without mods... (And it's obvious, there where used mods, since Ark doesn't display Armor-Stats in the hud in Vanilla.)

Edit 2: Of course, you can deactivate the building-limit and make an exorbitant weight-limit for your dinos, just with the SP-settings...
