Focal Chili? Broken?
we got the recipe in the pot, using sparkpowder to fire up the pot, and for some reason it wont make the chili, just burns endlessly, have tried with waterskins, waterjars and even canteens >.< nothing seems to work

Remembered to add fiber and mejoberries as well as the meat/jerky type and veggie? If you're using wood you remember to take out the charcoal so it doesn't make dye out of the berries?

There is NO charcoal, as we using sparkpowder to fire up the pot, which does not make charcoal.

no fiber required for the recipe. the EXACT ingredients as listed in the recipe are in the pot. however the new coloring they added, does not require charcoal, and is made before the chili is.. as both require similar ingredients

No idea why I was recommending fiber. I've made too much kibble. It's burned indelibly in my mind that fiber and mejo go in the pot :steamfacepalm:

I'm suprised if overlapping recipes is the cause. That seems the kind of thing the Devs would catch. If you're sure, you should add it to the bug reports section.

yah looks that way sadly, soon as you add more than 15 of the blue berries (focal needs 20) it makes blue coloring :) and i understood where you was comming from with the fiber :P been making kibble flat out recently myself :)

ok found out you can not use sparkpowder to fire up the pot, as it is an ingredient in the new dyes, so if you use thatch your good to go (does not make charcoal)

So we have to fall back on a third option? Without an industrial pot inventory space is limited. That means less water bottles and more non-stop attention since thatch burns so quickly and only stacks to 100.

It may not be a bug, but you should definitely report it and state they should replace the recipe. Thatch as a fuel is crap. Sparkpowder is always the way to go, unless you need extra charcoal for bullets, and wood still burns for 30 seconds. Isn't thatch like 10?
