Scorpions need Kibble
Exactly as the title states... Are they going to be adding it or what? How about a new kibble recipe using spoiled meat and the same method of other Kibbles?

Man the wiki on the kibble page could not be more wrong... It "claims" that spoiled meat is equally effective as kibble. It is equally effective to prime meat maybe but the amout of taming effectiveness that drops off per feeding is NOT kibble equal.

Let kibble rot, and give that to them :)

Did you even think that comment through? On top of the time needed to make kibble (prep work) now we must wait at least 2-3 more days? No thanks. How about introducing a kibble that uses spoiled meat or just making dodo kibble for all initial circle of life starting points?
Every tamable dino beyond the dodo should have kibble so they can keep their bonus levels. That would be the logical thing to do.

They need to go back to the drawing board on the kibble and make the progression more logical.

The middle-ground solution for scorpions and other scavengers to come would be introducing spoiled prime meat. And kibble afterwards (spoiled kibble sounds fine if you can create them from spoiled eggs except dodo ones). Currently spoiled meat reduces TE too rapidly to be considered raw prime stand-in for scorps...

As for scorp itself - their torpor should get buffed a little bit: raise its torpor to damage ratio from 3/1 to 5/1, preferably add a little bit torpor on hit. For example they'll do 100% of damage as torpor on hit and then another 400% over 10sec as periodic effect.

Compared to tranq arrows (200% on hit, 250% over time), scorps will have that small advantage to keep players interested in them as taming tools and defensive assets.

+1
I like this idea a lot! However, I'm not sure I like the idea of spoiled eggs and spoiled kibble though as that would be weeks of build up for taming a single scorpion.

not really. Because you can gather a decent amount of assorted eggs in no time even from wild dinos, put them on some offline player (or keep them on yourself) and have them spoiled while you are offline by the next day.

Or make a new recipe: any kibble except dodo + spoiled prime meat = spoiled kibble ("spoiled meat flavored kibble" ^_^).

Eggs take 7 - 8 days on you to spoil... and that is one single egg. Do you even egg bro?
Edit** Actually it is 8 days from the time you collect it off the ground/floor/ceiling

Do you even time bro? Maybe you should check it again?... 7:23:59:58 reads 7 days 23 hours 59 minutes and 58 seconds.. If that does not satisfy you wathch it for 8 hours and then come back and let me know if it has spoiled.

Also they last over 2 years in our time in the electric refridgerator
Yeah, I'm not crazy about the spoiled egg idea. It'd take an absurd ammount of time, and there are people like me who prefer to play in singleplayer mode. It would basically bar anyone in SP from realistically getting a kibble tamed scorp by making it immensely impractical. I liked the idea of a spoiled meat kibble, though. Maybe we could use the Arthropleura eggs to make it? Or perhaps the frog eggs, considering how soft and gel-like frog eggs already are in reality (I really hope the frog eggs actually look like frog eggs)?
Its not like we aren't going to have any new creatures added in the next few days/weeks/months that will be egg layers. Perhaps the kibble folks seek is right around the corner?

ok ok ok. Me being terrible with time and even worse sense of direction has nothing to do with scorpions...
How about: egg on ground transforms into spoiled egg instead of decomposing after 30 min timer runs out? It might get in the way of baby dinos mechanic but if they introduced egg spoiling mechanic... for example: egg spoils on the ground in 5 min if you shoot it with tranq or sting with a scorp, then it shouldnt be a problem, right?.

The troll is strong in this one... But I have nothing better to do so why not... It's sat. afterall. That is a horrible idea. It's easier just to tweak a few lines of code (adjusting existing values up) with existing Kibble as opposed to adding in this COMPLETELY new mechanic. Dodo kiddle or any existing kibble for that matter would be fine. As Kibble already has multi dino uses what is adding the existing dinos reaction to eating kibble with the number boosted up for more dinos with the same existing kibble? They already eat it and get a value from it so it has to be coded into the game or it would not work at all. Just tweak the values up to the normal effectivness of prefered kibble and it's done in 20 mins per dino.
I know I made this very simplistic and realize it is harder than just that but I wanted to try to make sure you could understand where I was going in general.
