PvE uses for mobile bases?

I'm trying to think of a good PvE use for a mobile base (Bronto Base). Since the weight will be limited by the bronto carry weight, I'm having trouble seeing any big positives for PvE/Harvesting.

I guess if you want to toss some storage bins on it to put things in specific containers instead of all in the Bronto inventory, that might be slightly helpful. I generally use dinos for harvesting, so I don't feel like I need a smithy. Metal is so heavy, I don't necessarily see the benefit of a forge either.

Maybe being able to drag around a ballista/catapault for fun hunting? I'm really trying to think outside the box!

As far as the plesiosaur...that could be useful for oil harvesting, though again...I don't necessarily see a huge benefit over just storing stuff in the dino.

Anyone have any thoughts or neat ideas?

Ok I just thought of something...it would be helpful for making narcs, just have a mortar/pestle station on it.

Generator + Fridge = mobile taming. If you don't fanatically use kibble for everything that is.

You could "live" in a heavy resource area without blocking respawning.

Best use in my mind is just a slow mobile resource base for places that have already been claimed and thus can't be built near.

They are much to slow for efficient taming base imo. and you'd need to bring a carnovore with you to actually hunt assuming you are using prime meat. in my experience a Rex alone can carry everything you need for a field tame in pve.

Nope. I feel I already know enough to toss around ideas of what may or may not be possible. I don't think anyone is demanding anything or saying anything is written in stone.

Now...the idea about a generator/fridge for quick storing prime, if you don't use kibble...THAT is a great idea. I'm often far enough away from the base that the prime won't make the trip. Granted...I'm usually close enough to the tame that I don't have to go back to base.

Another idea...a great way to help with constructing large buildings. Just pull your platform up to the side, place walls, etc.

Put some forges on it and have it follow your anky along a river, and literally smelt metal as you go.

Also, would be easier to build other tall building using the platform as a mobile scaffold.

a thought occured to me, they mention you can build ladders down from the platform.. then one could assume you can also build walls down from the platform. As such could be use this to turn Brontos into Ironsides? metal walls draped down each side as armor?

Honestly I don't think it's ment to be a very practical thing in general you aren't going to have an amazing epic base on the back of a bronto it's just not fesable it's designed as something that is ment for just the fun of it. The only real practical use for it is going to be in SotF once the ballistas come out and you can move from place to place and continue to advance your tech. Currently the biggest weakness of something like going for guns in SotF is that you are locked to one place. With the bronto you can move around and still work on tech. which will be important as they continue to advance the tech tree meaning it will require more time to get to the sifi stuff.

but for regular server you could use it as a metal prossessing station if you can't make a mountian base
