Why does this game looks so awful

it does look like a disgusting blurry mess that runs at 720p even with the resolution slider maxed out at 1080p (1440p seems to make zero difference either). strangely the game started to look a lot better for me when i turned off the option that usually makes games look way better, Ambient Occlusion, distant field AO seems alright though

its also horrible anti aliased, but i cant live without it, theres just soo much shimmering from every object otherwise

Have you tried starting with Reset game resolution ?

Wow you must have one great little toaster you are playing on. Unless of course you are judging the game based on The Island or The Center maps. The more modern maps are anything but ugly with a PC able to run them on epic.

I guess it's a matter of opinion, but it looks good on my PC. While it's not perfect by any means, it doesn't look horrible to me either.

yeah only the 4k screenshots in the top rated screenshot section doesnt look like a blurry mess, and they are probably using nvidia/reshade sharpness filters ontop of that. all the 1080p shots look like garbage

people seem positive on the comments but my god does that bloom look awfull, and the graphics both pixelated and blurry at the same time

too bad only the top of the line computers are able to run this game at 60fps in 4k with the lack of dlss.

few years old but this kind of rig is not capable enough to run 4k/60fps, while in fact it doesnt even look like 4k to me at all, more like proper 1080p
