will this game ever have a true creative mode?

sadly not native... to make as you would want you would have allow all god mode.

All God mode? I am not planning to travel about online, so if there is a way you know of I'd find it helpful. And really all I'm looking for is a No clip place building structures anywhere. The whole tiresome cant place a house on a cliff with out floating fences is just stupid for single player offline.

It's not like a single player cheating or creating on their own is affecting online in any way..

Wait, what's the question again? There is definitely creative mode, but what do you mean by "true creative mode"? You can technically make the maps yourself, but it wouldn't be through creative mode since that'll cause a lot of problems.

Creative mode really just exist to let you build anything you want while in god mode.

Iv'e tried creative mode before and god mode, and its more or less typing for manual stacks of items from when I last played it.

Open console and add X amount...
but It was a while back has things become easier with updates?

I've been stuck on the beach on The Island for ages (in single-player, to be fair), and there was a god mode?

(I know, I'm a complete rookie.
Ark's not a game I play as often as I should.
(Plus, splitting my progress between the PC and Steam versions slowed me way down)

There's an actual creative mode. You do need to enable it in the options though as that's disabled by default. When you are at the setup mode for single player, look carefully and see if you can find "Creative Mode" or "Enable Creative Mode", I forgot the exact words though.

Once you turn it on, start up your single player, and press escape (or the pause button) and you'll see "Enter Creative Mode". This will give you a special gun that lets you teleport short ranges, auto kill dinos, identify dinos. And you'll be able to craft ANYTHING from the engram table regardless of location.

Resource items though, like thatch or stone, will need to be typed into console. But you do not need resources to craft buildings during creative mode.

Hmm Nice thank you Guess ill need a new SSD for this monster of a game but thats good news as I do like the game and just got a 3090 and would like to push it.

There pretty much is i think. Youre able to use a command that makes it so you dont need any mats for anything and crafts instantly. The menu is just in the crafting part of you inventory. Not entirely sure if it includes every craftable, like from fabricators and such. But there are mods out there that basically add in a creative mode im pretty sure.
