how to level up tapejara

i just tamed a tapejara and i want my friends to ride it with me but it dosnt have that good weight is there a easy way to upgrade mt tapejara

My experience with those guys is grabbing the highest level possible, which will have a slightly higher carry weight. You and your friend will still have to manage your carrying weight, dumping unnecessary weight from your inventory until you can level up the tapejara.
Killing bugs, small dino or even killing from the saddle while attached to a tree can help gain xp faster.
