Problem with drivers for NVIDIA GTX 960, games crashing?

I recently upgraded and bought my first dedicated gaming PC. I was extremely excited as I have bought games during steam sales that otherwise I'd be unable to play, playing the Sims 2 was enough of a struggle on my old laptop. It's running Windows 10 with Intel HD Graphics (I think 4800) and an additional NVIDIA GTX 960 graphics card. I've updated the drivers for both during initial set-up.
Whilst otherwise my PC has been running pretty smoothly I've been struggling to play the first game I was eager to try; Ark: Survival. Basically I join a sever, and just as the game is finished loading it crashes before I can actually play. This is accompanied by the message 'Video Driver Crashed and was Reset'. I have attempted to verify the integrity of the game through steam settings and it did confirm there was a file that needed replaced, but this made no difference.

Essentially I'm asking for advice; I'm still learning about PC's in general and I am in no way an expert. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling my new drivers but either can't seem to get a clean install for my NVIDIA drivers or can't seem to uninstall my Intel ones!

Could you post you computer specs with a CPUZ link? You might want to use a program like MSI Afterburner to check your GPU temperature.

What drivers are you installing? I haven't tried the most recent drivers (359.00), but I'm using the 358.91 drivers without any issues. You can right click on your desktop and choose NVidia control panel and then click system information on the bottom left to get the current driver version. If you're using the 359 ones, might one to try the 358.91.

This problem started with the new driver 359.00

I have the same issue sometimes too, but after the crash i start the game again and try to log in. I tried maximum of two times and after that it loaded. Using the same GTX 960 4GB from MSI.

the problem has been resolved in the last nvidia driver.
