Enduro stew health regen on dinos
how much does the health regen effect recover?
is it percentage based?

it feels faster on player characters than on dino's , I'm more curious about the effect the potions have on dinos than on player characters.

I've read the wiki, but it doesnt feel quite right when it comes to dinos.

It depends on the server setting that is set up by the owner of the server. Different servers different settings.

As far as I know only raw meat effects tames, stews have no effect.

enduro stew DOES give health regen.

I've gone so far as to give it to a quetzal I was in the process of taming because its health went down too low and I was DONE with taming them solo and losing them to something dim.

what I'm asking is if someone has written down how much health is regenerated per stew and if it's percentage based on dinos you've already tamed.

what setting would modify this? I've not touched anything health related or damage related on my singleplayer world. and that's the only thing that I play at this point.

It does effect dinos. I use it regularly and yes it does regen. It's supposed to be 1.2% per second but I do think it's less effective on dinos. Still very useful though and I use it for Alpha fights to boost healing.
Flammy Nov 17, 2015 @ 10:54am
I believe the 1.2% is capped because it doesn't do nearly that much on dinos, it does a little.

I do use it to that effect, but again, I've read that "1.2 percent"/s health regen, I didn't check if that's true on high level player characters and I don't see a source on where that amount came from which is why I'm asking if someone can come and tell me what they have personally found about it.

I'm asking because enduro stew, together with focal chili, are the dishes I find myself wanting to cook the most, and I reckon the more I know about all the dishes the better I will be able to use them.

oh if 1.2 percent was the cap to the maximum you can regain per second I see sense in that, but that still leaves us with how much it actually gives on really high HP tamed dinos.

like, 15 to 30 k HP.

Never realised enduro also gave regen. Still 90% sure stews do not effect tames, but that would be a great revelation if they do.
Critter Nov 17, 2015 @ 11:01am
Yeah, they effect tames. I use energy drinks/tonics on my ptera all the time so I never have to land.

again, dishes affects any stats the dino has, so like, a dino without an oxigen stat would not gain any benefit from having less oxygen consumption.

however, give a bird focal chili and it will fly faster.
give your rex an enduro stew and it will hit harder(and gather more) and it will regain a bit of HP.

the only thing stopping me from having any bird I'm flying on under the effects of the chilli is that cooking is boring at the moment.

you do know, if you take regular meat and force feed its health up right after knocking it out and before it hits the regular interval for eating, it wont affect effectiveness...

also I'd like to mention, that it doesnt affect taming is a GOOD thing, because I give it one enduro, and the health regen kicks in, and I don't have to forcefeed it meat to get its health higher, meaning its health has more time to lower so it doesnt have to wait so long to start eating kibble or to lower its food stat low enough for me to instant tame the thing with prime.

this is known to me, but my most precious resource is time. and feeding it , even while timed properly, still fills up its food stat, causing it to take longer to eat the next piece,

so enduro stew still feels more efficient in that regard, but this isnt what I made this thread for,

what I want to know is to know the crunch behind the dishes in the game, I want to know

"if X dino has Y max hp, in the 15 minutes that enduro stew takes effect, it will regain Z hp"

if there is such a number, or if there's some kind of randomness to it.

Giving Fria Curry to baby dinos slows down (or used to unless they changed it) their eating. This makes them use less food for maturation.
Ataxio Nov 17, 2015 @ 11:13am
I ment that in the capacity that it doesn't effect tamed Dino's, not the tameing process..

However that sounds great that stews work like that, I had always thought they were only for players. Def gonna try it.
