Please lower volume of generator.

I know it's a machine but the volume is so loud that it gets annoying and you can hear it no matter where you are in your base. I have 3 floors in my base and the generator is on the top floor but I can still hear it like I am standing right beside it on the ground floor.

Other machines like the Fabricator etc are fine, you don't need to have them running all the time so the volume of the motor isn't an issue.

An alternative is to create a sound proof padding we can use around the generator that covers the walls, doors and floors so we can put the generator in its own room and sound proof it for a bit of peace and quiet.

Another alternative would be to create something similar to something a mod called The Scientist Class has, a wind turbine, (although the bright red color in that mod needs to be toned down a bit, it looks too cartoonish).

I suggested insulated walls/ceilings that would dampen or even mute sound.

this is why- every base i build- i include a 1x2 square room (with a closing door) to put the generator in. there is enough room for the generator and a small storage box for gasoline. it really helps with the noise, especially if you have the room away from the main part(s) of the house.

and btw- we should be glad it's not as loud as the Fab. js.

We keep ours in the "basement" with closed doors, on the corner of the building we rarely use, and hardly even notice it.

Put 10 or more Raptors together and stay there for a while. Sooner or later you will run away... Same problem.

There is sound proofing. It's called putting it 40 feet away from your house. The sound dissapates very fast. I say leave it.

Create a "Power Tower", create a tower of pillars and ramps or ladders to the top, create a platform and then a small room up on top, stick the generator in there and run a cable drop from up there down into your house.
