how long dose it take to compost
i am useing the compost bin from ark automated and its takeing forever to compost. how long dose it take to compost?

congratulations this isn't important at all. you need to collect 3x human poop or 3x small poop, 3x medium poop or 3x large poop. it doesn't matter where you get it from you just need 3 of the same kind + 50 thatch
I don't think you need 3 of the same kind. I've made lots of fertilizer by mixing multiple kinds.

Then all the answers you found are false since a long time. Any type of poop is good, dont have to be the same "size". And the time to make one isn't correct too.

Use the wiki, not all but most infos are correct. The description of the compost bin from there:

"To begin the process, open the Compost Bin's Inventory screen. Add 50 pieces of Thatch along with 3 pieces of any kind of Feces. After sitting in the Compost Bin for about 1 1/2 in-game days, the items will be removed and replaced with Fertilizer. "
