Smaller safe's....

We need smaller safe's the large storage boxes are too small and the safe's are too big need something in the middle my base would look messed up if i put a massive safe in..

Yes, I agree a metal lockerbox would be nice, just as the large storage box, but made out of metal that can withsstand some more damage and maybe has a few slots more.

Or even bigger wooden ones just something that can hold more than the large storage boxes and less than the metal safe's

I think they said they only plan on making one more box/tier of storage. That is reinforced (stone).

That would work just hope they can hold more as atm bronto and all boxes are full i know bin some stuff but who wants to do that

I've been using Smithies a lot for storage:

1 Smithy = 60 slots -> put 1 on the ground, another above it with a wood or metal walkway = 120 slots

You can place 3 large storage boxes in the same area -> 3x 30 slots = 90

So even though you can't lock smithies, you can use them for some extra storage.

Smithies are also great to put on structures that have limited items, like rafts or saddle platforms.

In a room, 2 blocks high, you can put large storage boxes and park dimorphs on top of them for extra storage.

Dimos are perfect for things like paste or chitin. =)

I Agree the Vault is way too large, I would like to see a small safe like people would have in their house, 2 ft x 2 ft and something larger like gun safe size say 5ft tall by 3 ft wide by 3 ft deep. Even if they only had the slots of a small box, and a large storage box it would be very helpfull to be able to have something sturdy to store valuables, as well as not be required to use that massive vault in your base.

I have not even built a vault even though i am max level and have the resources, because its just too big, we prefer to have 1 box for each mat to make getting things for crafting easy and the base would have to be massive to do that with vaults.

Im same i can make the safe but i dont want it i think it looks ugly. I know who cares on the look as long as it holds everything i just want everything to be the same 90% of the base is stone so dont want a couple huge metal safes stood there looking out of place
