Is there a way to disable Structure Support?

So I have been building this brige but it requires going over sea and I dont have enough oxygen or scuba gear to swim down and place enough pillars to the top so I was thinking if there is a way to disable Structure support.

If it's your own server, than just activate "infinitestats" and "god", then swim. :P

There is no way to disable structure support that I'm aware of.

I've never heard of a method for server admins to disable structure support on private servers, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it's possible.

Unless you are a server admin, or on a server that has massively increased harvest rates, your best option may be a a custom-built raft.

it can be deactivated as there are mods that deactivat the foundation Support need for items but only with the mods

If you don't have scuba gear look into crafting some lazarus chowder. It slows your oxygen use rate, and gives you a modest stamina regen while underwater. Roughly it makes your oxygen meter last six times as long, give or take.

Recipe is Cooked meat, savoroot, longrass, mejoberries, narcotics and a waterskin in the cooking pot. Not sure of the exact numbers of each offhand, but that can be looked up.

I think you only need one pillar on the floor for it to support, or maybe a pillar and a ceiling, then you can have as much gap between that and the ceilings above. Of course one of the ceilings will need a full row of pillars to support it on top. You could alwayys mindwipe and put your stats in to oxygen.

It would be fun to have a server setting that disabled foundation requirements (and clipping checks).

I think there is a way to make it so you can build farther before requiring a support, it is in the .ini but i can not remember what it is called... think it is something to do with platforms or somethign, I remember seeing a picture of a raft and a guy said he got it bigger by changing a number. May be obvious, worth a look.

Why bothering with pillars if you can use rafts. Put 4X4 foundations in the middle and on each side 4X4 ceilings. Allign them in a row on the place where you want to build your bridge. Done. Easy, quick and ressource-saving.
