Getting a bronto across the ocean
I live on south island and want to move one of my brontos to the mainland, I know brontos are slow, is there anyway to move them without them dying, will the sharks kill them easy or have a hard time with it?

brontos actually swim faster than rex's.

We swim our's across no problem. But we only tame bronto's that are lvl 100 plus, and they get a lot of HP lvls.

how high level is it? what are its stats?
what's the maximum level dino in the world?

is this singleplayer or a server?

force feeding it lazarus chowder will help their o2 and stamina stats, and focal chili will help them move faster on the water
if you MUST swim.

raft, just build a raft a bit wider, done

They have unlimited stamia when you don't ride them. For things attacking you might need to clear the area before attempting or have it follow a water dino most of the way across.

I have a bridge made of rafts. But because brontos can have platform saddles, they can't go onto rafts.

it's an unofficial, its a level 20 bronto, I haven't looked at it's stats in a while. I have tried building a bigger raft but it won't go on.

He is not healing while swimming, clear the path from Megalodons

If you're not alone, just have someone with a megalodon or a plesio clear the area of potential hostile creatures first and stand guard while you're swimming. If you have the time and resources, a simple thatch or even wood "bridge" built at the shortest crossing point would be helpful even if it didn't extend fully across, but just enough to give you a good head start. Just make sure both bridge sides have ramp sections extending downward into the ocean at their respective ends to allow the swimming bronto the opportunity to access it.

I know this is an old post but i found this funny. I tried to get some lowbie brontos across to make an egg farm.... and i ended up dropping sacrificial dodos into the ocean 4-5 times, then made a run for it with my low level male / female brontos.... Success!

Level 20 is pretty low. Why not just tame a better one on the mainland?
Otherwise, unless you're playing solo, you can get some friends to run shark-mounted security from the sea predators.

Build a bridge?
I can't remember if catwalks require nearby foundation support.

I once got a bronto from north tropical to south tropical islands. I had to island hop to the mainland, then back across to south tropical. He got attacked buy a manta I think... or might have been drowning. But he got across and was fine. Got him back to base and now he sits in the yard next to the female. They get into fights with wild things that spawn in the base and help the ankylos.
Lol it's cool know, I am on a different server anyway, living somewhere else.
