air conditioners increase insulation which effectively increases the tolerable temperature ranges for eggs and players.
This is a way better method than building fires because it soesn't require constant monitoring of temp swings.

Also looking at your picture are you looking just at the temp on the hud because that doesn't tell the ambient temp, just the outside temp.
Being near the fire only changes your insulation value related to cold, it doesn't change the actual temp.

The best way of hatching an egg pre aircon is just dropping it and looking at whether it says to hot/cold and then moving it further away/closer to the fire.

so ac and no fire to heat the egg to that temp?
Microphobe Nov 14, 2015 @ 12:17am
Just the ac if fine, basicly put the egg near the ac, if it's too hot/cold you need more aircons, most people settle about 6 depending on the climate they live in, more in somewhere like the snow, less in more tolerable climates.

Standing torches are better than fires.

Or 9 AC units will do the trick...

Heya, best way by far is 4 ac units theyll protect against most weather in the south anyway not sure about anywhere else.

Check out my video here were i hatch ptera twins :) https://youtu.be/WTKiZclfC5k

our base is in the north east, we use 4 ACs and 1 standing torch. Some hot days the torch isn't used.
