30 stone and 3 metal ingots?

What a waste of metal ingots, even though this is stupidly cheap. Still it's a catapult it fires rocks why bother putting metal ingots into the ammo recipe at all?


Also surprised to see 0 threads about the catapult yet. No one crying about it being OP/UP is amazing.

maybe the 3 metal ingots are made into strips or a shell to hold 30 stones together? idk havent seen wat the ammo looks like... but seems plausable.

If you look at the ammo (build the slingshot and the blueprint for ammo is in it's inventory) you will see the "rock" has a spiked metal band running around it- looks baller and in theory would increase the damage- it's only 3 ingots and it looks really cool. Good job done on this model in my opinion.

Anyone tried it? Dmg, reload time, how far it can shoot? Is it a standalone catapult on gears or a mountable on?

It sucks, cant even see the projectiles, does only about 1200 damage to buildings, the ballista is far better.

1200? when I used it on my house it did 700
if it is 1200 then its only 9 shots to down a stone wall.
and in comparision to the ballista its super cheap to make the ammo.

And yes it does block your vision of the projectiles. you have to fire and quickly nudge it to the side to make sure you hit the target

This makes some sense that something would be required to hold the stones together.

well unlike with the catapult ammo, you have to carve out the mortar and pestle, the extra stone is obviously there because our players suck at stone carving
