Good locations for early oil farming?

Looking for some shallow non-cave spots I can farm some oil at. Been killing the triblios, but trying to make the industrial grill and some gasoline. Plan on using it sparingly for making kibble

But it's a slow grind to get it. Want to build up what I need to tame the big birds, my lil flyers just aint going to cut it... so I need the kibble in bulk to get a couple of the birds for cargo (and eventually hauling dinos)

use the itchy, and there is a lot of out south of the southwest island.

Early lvls, implies not a high enough lvl to make fur.

West coast. The exact border of the snow and normal biomes there has a bunch of scattered oil rocks on the surface. Hide armor is enough there to keep you warm during days.

Hide + Fire + Running in and out quickly

Faster and safer than almost drowning on an icthy.

Along the shore near the SE cave. Plenty of Trilobites to kill and it's relatively safe. I always start at E1 and build at the point just South of the cave so I have a base close by.

safest bet is to kill trilobites, there are some easy to get oil rocks that can be found near the shore along coastlines just gotta find them. north and west coast at the border of the snow biome has some rocks, you dont need fur armor to go into the snow biome, thats only if you plan to be there for extended periods of time.

On the central southern coast is an island of very large unbreakable rocks, it's a pretty easy to find landmark. The southern side of this island drops down to a shelf underwater that has like 10 or 12 oil nodes, super easy to dive to without any equipment.

south central just off the peninsula with the rock pool theres a ledge in the ocean, not deep usually spawns 6-10 oil rocks, plus its in the south so not many carnovores other than dilo's and good temperature :)

and the dodo i imagine is for kibble, ptera use dodo egg kibble
