It wasnt so hard, i took my friend with level 250 petra, picked him up and he shot it, now its something like level 50.
Also, it's the knocking it that is the challenge, keeping it out is the easy part. You will need lots of narcotics and the torpor can drop from full to empty in a minute or so, but refilling the torpor can take more than half an hour, so just figure out how much narcotic you need to fully fill its torpor (check calculator) and sit watching the torpor drop. Once it gets under say 1000 or 500 then quickly feed it that set number of narcotics and you won't have to look at it again for a long time.
It is extremely hard to do it with tranq-darts solo.
If however you are more then one guy shooting you can use tranq-darts since you are stacking together.
But it also depends on the type of weapons you have. You should rather use the 200% x-box than the 100% longneck ...
