@DEVS Autoclicker/Clickmacros Ban or not?

I was farming wood in the swamps with my tribe-dude, quetz+mammoth method.
His finger went sore after 1 hour of continuous left-clicking.

Soooo... i came across a question... took it with me and wanna put it here:

Are we allowed to use autoclicker? (ofc id dont ask this for game mode specific, i just play pve, but if you allow it in one game mode, you have to allow it for all, or forbid for all).

Will VAC swing the banhammer for using an autoclicker? (I always use that to eat a stack of berries at once to save meat, or when swinging a sickle or pick/axe etc.).

I know there are 2 different kinds of ppl here:
1. Autoclicker = Okay
2. Autoclicker = Not okay

So... dear people, i know that, and i know your reasons for your okay's/not okay's, its not neccessary that you answer here, debate about the whole thing, starting fights, telling each other dumb, telling each other cheaters, offending eachother, whine on the giganotosaurus or too op chairs etc.

I just want a clear answer from the devs.

Can't say for sure 100% but since VAC is used on more than just Ark, and for some of those games an AutoClick could be a serious cheat, I'd say probably? Not worth the risk in my books.

You won't be banned for macros.

Thx, but i really wanna have a clear statement about this, directly given from an employee of the publisher in the name of the publisher, that ensures 100% safety when using such things.

I thought their stance was ANY secondary programs is not what they find acceptable or ideal for the game. It may not be as heinous as aimbots, hacks, glitch abuse, etc; however, this doesn't mean they may outright ban you for a macro. Good idea to ask and know for sure before using them though.

Honestly i already used them. But i thought its never a bad idea / too late to ask mommy and daddy if im allowed to :D.

It's 2015, every other gaming keyboard has built-in macro support. Deal with it.

eating berries can be done quickly by placing them in the quick bar and while still in the menu, hold down the button they are equipped to, no auto clicker needed

Yet Razer synapse and cortex run alongside this game for me. I used to abuse the E macro and sometimes run an autoclick macro when farming metal in the ballpark figures of 10K+

No VAC bans for me, and I don't see why the devs would raise issue with me automating a mundane task instead of destroying my mouse and keyboard

1) You can eat stacks of food by placing it on your hotbar, opening the inventory, and holding down the hotbar key.

2) You can gather by holding down the gather key, not only by pressing it quickly.

The only macro we need in this game is an auto-run forward key.

been using macros from day one if they want us to stop using marcos a post is all it would take informing us this is unacceptable untill then macro away

its not whether people belive its acceptable its just something that has not caused bans as far as i know
