Underwater: stone behemoth gate + stone walls on top - need help
I just need a quick help because I currently can't figure out how I could do it XD...
Our tribe is currently building an underwater pen for our future Plesio etc. and I placed the behemoth gate and it still can't reach the top of the water.
So I tried putting walls on it ..only noticing that this isn't possible...

Is there a way to place like 5 more rows on top of the gateway?

Place ceilings along the top, using pillars in the space of the door when needed to support it. You can break the pillars when done if both sides are supported I believe.

If you have placed a row of foundations under the gate you can build ceilings over the gate and snap the walls on them.

You can also stack behemoth gates on eachother.
I wouldn't know, I store my plesios in an underwater cave. XD But what these guys are saying will be very helpful once I get a Mosa, since it'll be a tight fit to put that in with the plesios.

:) Thanks for your help guys!
I will definitely try out your solutions later (it's a bit late and our gate-builder is offline now lol)!

I will report back which one worked for us then :D

I believe you can run fence post along the top of the gate then put walls up

foundations (building not fence) under the whole gate.
stack of walls or pillars up the sides of the gate, suggest more than one because breaking the chain will destruct the disconnected part.
now you can place ceilings/walls across the top of your gate.
foundation or pillar+ceiling the whole area you can roof it. those are behemoth gates. All enclosed.

Only way to put walls on top of Behemoth Gates is to reach the height you want with walls next to the Gate, than put a row of Ceilings on top of the Gate (on the desired height), then come down with walls from the Ceilings (Starting snapping walls to the bottom of Ceilings and going downwards from there), until you reach the Gate.

Of course there must be foundation or pillar supports at the bottom of all these (which are perfectly lined / snapped to the ceilings you are going to place on top), otherwise you can't place the ceilings on top.

XD Finally I can answer...
Well we tried around a bit..first I placed Stone Fence Foundations on the Behemoth Gate...which worked but when I tried to place the walls it said that it doesn't have any foundation support underneath ...lol

In the end I destroyed 3 or 4 gateways :/ and now I think we've got a way...
Thanks to you guys :) We stick to the pillar idea

We normally built a wall with fence foundation support and right behind I placed pillars and put on some ceilings and placed the gate on this... - high enough to let the top be over the water!
From outside it's almost completely closed thanks to the seperated walls...sheesh xD it's not perfect but it should work....

Thanks alot *bows*

I've been trying to reproduce this in an underwater version to no avail. I've wasted so much resources trying over and over again.

Also this method is futile to try on a slope since you cant place building foundations on an incline to create the support. Im really at my wits end try to find a way to stack behemoth gates, especially on a slope/incline underwater as seamlessly as possible.

I DONT want the tons of walls or pillars styles either as alternative underwater walls because that just goes into adding to your base structure count way too needlessly.

Can anyone offer a solution to this, again using behemoth gates stacked up 3 walls or so high, on slopes underwater with as minimal as possible extra structures going with it?

This all would be so damned easy if they just allowed vertical snapping of the gates and or ceiling snapping to them
