Fan Dossier: Nasutoceratops

Species: Nasutoceratops Arcticus
Time: Late Cretaceous
Diet: Herbivore
Temperament: Distrustful but otherwise Docile

Wild: I've never seen any dinosaurs on this island bearing a fur-like coating of feathers spanning the length of their bodies. However, it only makes sense for the Nasutoceratops; this peaceful ceratopsian braves the subzero temperatures of the Ark's northern regions in search of tundra grass and berries.

Akin to the bison of North America, Nasutoceratops were once common across the Ark until survivors and predators hunted them extensively. I don't blame them, though; Nasutoceratops meat is among the most delicious choices of meat for carnivores across the island, human or otherwise.

Domesticated: I've seen many northern tribes establish themselves around the taming and maintaining of Nasutoceratops herds. As a result of their environment, the ceratopsians are quite sturdy; also, their feather coating can be sheared and used like mammalian fur. Some tribes use Nasutoceratops as slow yet loyal combat mounts, their broad backs capable of supporting two riders. And, when their usefulness has waned, they can be slaughtered for copious amounts of Prime Meat.

Survivor's Notes: This design is meant to be a snow biome upgrade to the Trike. It is assumed that the Nasuto is slightly smaller than the Trike, yet it is thicker and furrier :) I am aware of the number of advantages it provides over the Trike, however, since it has been overhunted, it is also assumed that it is scarcer than its larger relative. Also, given this, it should be harder to knock out and tame. Its attack is significantly lower than the Trike as well, which is why there is the option of having two riders. I know, there aren't any two-rider saddles for the Trike, but let's just say there is :P Please leave any suggestions in the comments down below!
