Giganotos stuck in ice.. please help/fix.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=549468635

Another tribe got their giganoto stuck in some ice, so I came over with my to attempt to help them to get out, I tried aggroing her and pulling her, turned around, slipped a bit and fell into some other ice. Now they are both successfully stuck and I am completely pissed off. I understand this game is in alpha, I understand it is not even released yet, I understand they are working on the game still, I understand Giganotos are the newest dino, I understand all of these things.

We have tried getting them to follow, aggroing them, getting on them and shimmying every which way possible. We have tried absolutely everything there is to try. We are at a loss, these tiny ice cubes are going to kill these magnificent creatures we worked hard to tame. If anyone has any ideas or if there is anyway to fix this that is what I am looking for. Please save the rude comments.

My rex got stuck in ice just like that (I tried everything to get it out, including whistling to it to follow from every angle), so I sent an email to reports@studiowildcard.com. The next day my rex was unstuck and I received an email confirming they removed it. You might try that.

Had the same happening to me, it was in the water neck deep, it risked drowning, so I got on my bird and went back and forth gathering stimberries to make it swim below the ice and surface on the other side, and, after making it out of the small ice blocks, I found out it couldn't climb back onto land anyways. After 2 hours of desperate attempts to save her, she drowned.

R.I.P. Gaia the giganotosaurus.

Are you on an official server? If not, get an admin to ride the Giga(s) and use the ghost command- should let them get out of there :steamhappy:

Update: I made a raft with ramps and got mine out. Theirs glitched inside the rest of the ice now.. it will probably not make it. We're gonna try building under it with pillars and ramps.

I didn't see this sorry! We're on unofficial but sadly our admins are non-existant except when they're spawning in bases and turrets to ♥♥♥♥ with everyone. I didn't even know ghosting worked on dinos, I'll have to play around with that in SP.. lol

Also, I did not "swim in the arctic" they were doing this and I came across their stuck dinosaur, just trying to help them. Thanks for your helpful input I'll be sure to use this advice.
I mean, it'd be safer to piss of the Giga with a bow an arrow, not a valuable tame...
They can whistle passive the moment she got out, I wasn't worried about it. It's also a much higher level than theirs. Though a bow wouldn't be a bad idea...

I once helped get a Rex out of the same icy graveyard. We got it out after a few days. We picked up a Dino with an Argy and put the Rex on aggressive. I feel like making the Rex look upwards is what made the difference. But I could be completely wrong! I hope you get your dinos unstuck!

every big dino gets stuck in the ice, they need to just no clip the little ice thingies, i lost like 2 spinos and a rex in the ice too.

Well for future reference I recommend a raft with some foundations and 6 ramps off the side! It worked for my giganoto.

Passive whisltes have no effect on a rage-mode Giga, the rage has to ware off on its own.
I didn't/wouldn't damage it enough to make it enraged, by pissed off I mean.. aggro'd on me. Excuse my poor choice of words! And the rage would have worn off after 10-30 seconds, plus.. she's stuck as hell.

Never tried it myself, but from what I've heard it does.

She is free finally.. not sure how we did it exactly, but using a raft with ramps, she got stuck in a new spot, so we built under her with more pillars and ramps and she launched to victory. Hopefully they stay away from ice cubes.

Awesome! For anyone else that has this problem, admins are the easiest way to fix it. There are still LOTS of places where dinosaurs can get stuck in game sadly. And when it comes to dinosaurs of this size, nothing can carry it away to safety.

Suggestions:
1) Any admin can mount the dinosaur, and cheat fly, or cheat ghost out of it. I suggest cheat fly, it's less buggy. To star walking on land again, just type cheat land.

Lacking admins, I'm not really sure... I'm glad the ramp worked out... that was very creative.
