Water Need For Dino's

I just posted the below suggestion in the relevant forum but wonder how everyone else felt on the idea,

I was curious as to whether you guys would be adding a water need for the Dino's.
It's one of my pet peeves with a lot of games I play wherein your looking after an animal. Quite often you need to feed them but never supply water.

Also given that in Ark you yourself need to constantly keep a canteen, or something to that effect, on you to take swigs from, even more so now with the awesome new biomes.


Basically something along the lines of needing to land to allow flyers to drink and moving your Dino's into the water when using them to refill that need. Also a water trough filled through the irrigation method for those kept in pens.
I don't think there should be a way to fill your flying Dino's water need in the air, except maybe rain, as any way you look at it it would be quite impossible to do physically.

I just think it would be an interesting and somewhat challenging addition to the game.

If you could build a trough for drinking and it would be possible to add waterpipe to it why not. It would be more chalanging on SE

Problem for me would be that this might become another 'worthless' stat for the Dinos.

There are soooooooooo many other things this games really needs but one of the last things this game needs is another dynamic that will be bugged and break and never get fixed. So that is a resounding NO from me too.

Would be a nice feature to have. But then again, I always build next to water anyway so it would be no bother for me.

Nice feature, make it JUST like hunger, so it doesnt need it every 2 minutes but it needs it every few (irk) days

for thos eof us who build on mountains or in caves full of lava ....no unless you want pipes across the entire map blocking massive building regions XD plus another stat wild dinos will waste their wild levels on lowering the quality of all wild dinos please never add this

They could add a water carrying dino that you could take to a watering hole every few days and fill up and lead back and dump in a watering trough.

i think you can put water tanks on them alreadt un;less the platform randomly blocks them ?
