Which one is better at gathering stone/metal?

Anky = Metal, Doed = Stone

Anky also is good at getting flint.

if you want metal go anky.... you want stone... go doedi... think of them as hatchet and pick.. anky being a pick and the doedi a hatchet.. exept... doedi doesnt get metal or flint... which the anky does :)

Anky can gather Metal and Oil very well along with flint. Doed gathers just stone from rocks but can also gather a lot of obsidian compared to the anky. They both have amazing uses :D

While the doed can mine if you set on wander or leave it near stone.

Can you have it follow a stationary pet to keep from getting lost and still have it on wander?

Doed can be put on wander and will afk gather stone, anklo wont

Get both, if you need to choose, I'd say go with the ank because it also gathers a bit of stone, berries and flint. Doedicurus is quite a bit faster than ank on the other hand...

People may not realise this, The Deo not only has the rolling ability making it a LOT faster, but when you use it to strike an obsidian rock (which it is VERY good at) it also harvests metal from that rock. Hitting a "regular" metal rock only gets stone. I Think the Deo is better over all, unless you need flint.

Actually I have 3 ankylos (1 male and 2 female) and just got my first doed today right before I posted this (female).
