Ladder Placement Blues
So I made myself a simple little house, stone foundation, wood walls all around 2 high and a thatch roof. I like to park my Pteranadons on the roof (mostly) out of harms way and leave them on passive, then set about putting a ladder on the outside to get up there, but whilst I can place the lower one, I can't place one above it, it says it's obstructed but I can't see what by? It also seems to want to "embed" itself in the wall a little, not lining up with the top of the first ladder.

Fair enough I though, I will put a hatchframe in the ceiling and a ladder going up to that, as I have done in other games like Unturned, but nope you can't put a ladder up to the hatch, only on walls. So what is the point of hatchframes?

I'm clearly missing a trick here so any help or suggestions are welcome =)

You can put ladders on hatchframes,Not sure why you can't.

They are basic wooden ladders and I haven't put the door in yet but presumably that shouldn't matter. Also not sure why my upper ladders on the outside are "obstructed", perhaps the game just doesn't like the transition from wood wall to thatch roof.

AHit was just reluctant to snap to the hatchframe, fixed now though the outer wall placement thing still seems to be an issue.

I had the same issue with stone walls yesterday. I had to end up building a hatch frame and ladder inside the building instead. I even tried to replace the walls, nothing.

Try removing the ceiling tile closest to where your trying to place the ladder, maybe the outer edge of the ceiling is obstructing or causing issues with the snap point.

I've got a watchtower I'm trying to build, and it's basically a hatch frame every 2nd floor, with a ladder going up the middle. Nice and simple. However I am unable to snap the 4th ladder into place. It desperately wants to stick to the walls, but won't acknowledge that the 3 placed ladders below exist, or that the hatch above exists. Very frustrating. Any help?
