For those who say "up your weight" : you are probably forgetting that not everybody is part of a big tribe (or of a tribe at all). When your whole world population is 3 person big *on purpose* there is no way to have someone just be a mule.
You can actually go WAY over your max weight in two ways. Obviously you won't be able to move at all once you get over weight, so both of these have to happen in a stationary spot:
1) Gathering - if the gathering bonus is high enough, you might be able to get to 750 W/T/S by gathering in place. Without at least a 20x bonus though, his is unlikely, so you'll have to do the second thing, which is;
2) Picking up "packages" dropped by you/dinos. I did this by getting the 750 thatch in my inventory, then the 750 wood on my Mammoth, and 400 stone on each of two Doedys, then fiddling with their positions (in a semi-circle with a bit of spacing) until the spot they each drop packages is the same, and then quickly jumping on each, and dropping (from their inventory) all the materials I need. Then getting down in position where I can reach ALL the packages, and picking them all up. PRESTO, you have 750 wood, 750 stone, and 750 thatch in your inventory, and can craft Behemoth Gates/Doors.
Not easy, but not impossible. Still, pretty lame. Hopefully they add an option to the workbench (a check-toggle would work) to "View All Engrams," and then you could craft stuff like this on Benches.
a thousand upvotes.
or even just a 'big wall' piece in various materials that is like 4-5 regular walls in height and a few foundations wide.
