Pteranodon ran out of stamina, ejected me, what the hell?

So, started on someone's well populated Unofficial servrer, took a while to build up and get a flyer. It was only 36, but on my first flight had not got far when I realized it was low on stamina. I start heading down to land when the stamina drowned fully and it stopped cold, in mid-air. It would not budge, only spin around as if on an axis. Then all of a sudden it ejected me to my death and I have never been able to find it.

Getting another isn't end of the world, but trying to get 75 keratin or chitin is a SOB for me.

They have always done this if you let them run out of stam.

You did have a parachute, right? :)

Weird, I have run out of stamina on one on my main server and it just slowly descended.

They only did this for the first few weeks. Ever since then the Ptera will drift towards the ground, and you can jump off. It doesnt eject you anymore.

No, I didn't not high enough don't think. Also the death didn't bother me, tools are easy to replace, but losing my saddle and flyer sucked only 15 minutes after getting it.

That's a bug, sometimes flyers out of stamina aren't able to land and stop mid air. There's nothing you can do in this situation except jumping off. The parachute is your friend, don't fly without one.

Never had a Pteranodon do that, nor an Argent/Quetz. Whenever they have ran out of stamina in the past I lose control of the bird unless over a body of water, in which case as soon as I'm clear of it, I lose control and it slowly descends and lands on the spot, with me able to walk around on the mount still.

Were you close to water? Sounds like a glitch.

you could always have a special one with points put in stamina/speed to fly express round trips xross the island. I have one for combat and one for express deliveries with extra carryin' weight.

A high level Ptera with high melee nukes with the C attack, wish more people would use them as combat mounts, especially after their AD got buffed from 12.5 to 15, they are flying raptors who get a ton of melee % per level up, they do not slouch in combat at all. I have seen people destroy alpha T rex with very high melee Pterandons by barrel rolling across their backs with stamina breaks in between. Much faster than an Argent and safer.

if you are high up and run out of stam your bird will most likey kick you off it not land its a glitch you must be new because its been there sence the start of the game and dont play pve its just a waste of time
