Trophy Mounts

Where do we get the trophies to put on these things? I have killed 2 alpha raptors today and nothing....I got the bone skins but I want a head for my wall haha

I didn't get a trophy from Alpha Raptor either,but I did get one from an Alpha Rex. It looks awesome.

Yeah I don't think the raptors give a trophy...I've killed hundreds of them (summoned them for testing...) and nothing. The Rex will give a trophy every time though.

So I think it's just something they will hopefully add in later on.

Apparently the broodmother also drops a trophy and the dodorex mask can be used as one. I'm totally on board for more trophies as well.

Rex is only trophy at this Time. Unless you play with mods. There are a few mods that add in Megas and alphas and you get trophies for each type you kill. If you can kill them.

Right, the dodorex mask mounting is supposed to be in the next patch. Maybe the wiki is lying to me about the broodmother trophy as I haven't seen it myself yet, but it says it was added in 221.

Currently, only the Broodmother and Alpha Domi drop trophies and in the next patch, the Dodorex mask will become a trophy.

Yeah the broodmother and the alpha rex drop trophies. I got both of them on my single player test-server. Just hope they make trophies for the other alphas too -- and maybe start unveiling more alpha-types for other dinos (Alpha Spino anyone? lol)

I can't even imagine haha The Dodo Rex was trolltastic enough.

plant about 20 plant X's together lure dodo rex in take the occational pot shot at it and wait in relative safety behind your plant X's... takes about 45 mins to kill it.

Huh...never thought to try it that way....tried to drown it (to no avail..it just sank and started eating things on the bottom of the ocean...) and then burned through 3 ascendant assault rifles and an ascendant rocket launcher (all with infinite ammo on...) before it finally died lol

It also ate through a metal pillar based killbox in about 10 seconds.

Will definitely try the plant-x thing next time.

the knock back the plant X's have is the key, as well as the cumulative Damage over time.

Works like a charm, killed about 14 of the damn things so far. best way to solo kill dodorex without risking any tames.

how else do you lure any dino?
take Ptera, Barrel roll, proceed to flee to your base. repeat as needed.

So if you found him all the way across the island, you pulled him that far? Ours had ADD and didn't want to keep following.
