How many air conditioners will be enough to hatch an egg?

It depends on where you are located. My base is on the black sand beach by the volcano and I need to use 6. In other posts I have read that some people need as many as 12. Its going to have to be something that you have to find out by dropping an egg to hatch.

Depends on what you are trying to hatch and where you are. 4 ACs in the snow biome for a Spino egg is not happening. For a Quetz, Argent, or Ankylo sure.

im near the swamp and i want to mate argents,will it work?

you will likely need more than 4. I am on the beach at the edge of the snow biome and I use 6 aircons to keep things the right temp and we get down to -1 C. As you get so hot you will likely need similar amount maybe more.

We have our set up all touching to get as much bonus as possible in as small space (the effect tapers off as you get further from them) and have a ceiling tile placed above them we put the eggs on. If you spread the aircon out as I have seen in some pics it needs more as they lose some of the effectiveness due to the distance.

I have mine set up in a "U"; you can place them partially inside one another (about half way) so you can concentrate the area of effect. Place the egg in the center of them and you should be fine.

Go with a bunch just to be sure you don't have to check on them :). I'm using 10 currently being in the snow biome, hatched a rex and spino without issues(they require high temps). This is what my room looks like.

With that many a/c units I don't think the egg can benefit from all of them. By that I mean the range is so small on the units that the egg can't get close enough to some of them, I don't think.

6 in a mild /warm region, up to 20 in snow biome. never had any issues with eggs at these numbers

Perfect timing for your post. I am near the swamp biome. I just hatch a argent yesterday. I had 5ACs. I put a line of 3 then one in front of the AC in the right and left making a u shape and I put the argent egg right in the middle. It started incubating right away and I did not even have to watch it. I went to do other things while it was incubating. I would check once in a while just in case but the health bar never changed so that means it incubated al the time without missing a beat. So 5 is enough where you said you where.

I plan on breeding in the furture but I'm unsure of how many ACs I will need. I currently live in Hidden Lake. Which is very far north.

i have 9 ac and live on snow biome ice island i can breed anything with it. np

in the swamp area i used 3 set up around a space in the middle of them to hatch eggs temp out side is 91f and argent eggs are fine when in the middle of the 3 acs closer you get a egg to the acs the better the bonus against th temps around you you get you can check the bonus in you inventroy screen when you stand by them
